Malo
Fidget's 2019 site-responsive work Malo premiered as part of "Grounds That Shout! (And others merely shaking...)" curated by Reggie Wilson. The work touches on concepts of femininity and ritual, and thinks about movement and dance in relationship to historical sacred or worship practices, and in relationship to the history of place.
With choreography by Megan Bridge, music by Peter Price, and performed by 10 dancers in two historic churchyards in Philadelphia.
Produced by Philadelphia Institute for Contemporary Art and Partners for Sacred Spaces.
